[political News] APC leader is trying to settle fences with his political enemies.

APC leader is settling with his political enemies

The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, Bola Tinubu has started mending fences with his political enemies, reports say.

This is as a result of the perceived relegation of the political genius by those he fought hard to put in power.
The crack in the APC was glaring when Tinubu wrote an open letter to the Chairman of the party,

John Oyegun, calling for his resignation over the outcome of the Ondo state primary election.

Some sources who spoke on the recent re-alignment of Jagaban in the South-West, say it is the beginning of the end of APC.

An APC chieftain who spoke on the matter, said
“We won’t be surprised if the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission wakes up tomorrow to say they are probing Tinubu or his associates. They may even send the Department of State Services after him because that is the step the Buhari government has taken against all their perceived enemies. Asiwaju knows that they may come for him.”

Some other APC big-wigs are of the opinion that Tinubu was side-lined on purpose by those in Abuja, who said Nigeria does not need a co-President.

The source also added that “Those leading the rebellion against Tinubu are politicians who lost their wards and constituencies in elections, even when they were governors. His loyalists are not in government, despite the contributions of Asiwaju to the 2015 electoral victory. Asiwaju has realised that they are ready to go to war with him so he is consolidating. This is not a time to hold on to past wounds and we are glad Yoruba elders who were critical of Tinubu before are rallying round him because they understand that this is a South-West matter. It is beyond our national leader.”

“The elders have held several meetings with him and they are realigning. Don’t forget what Pa Ayo Adebanjo said; he said any insult to Asiwaju is an insult to the Yoruba race and Adebanjo is not known to be flippant in his choice of words.”

There are also reports that the Osun state Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, who is Tinubu’s protégé, has been working underground for a reconciliation between his mentor and the Ondo Governor, Olusegun Mimiko.
